"Line works with film, photography, installation, text and sound, exploring the boundaries between fiction and non-fiction, dream and reality, the incomprehensible and the concrete. Employing mechanisms of storytelling and playing with the image, her work is at the same time raw and ethereal; orchestrated and poetic; rooted in the immediate context and other-worldly. Drawing the viewer’s attention to what is, it never tires of hinting at that which haunts by its very absence.

Line Kallmayer has a fine arts degree from Goldsmiths, University of London (2009) as well as a degree in English and Psychology from Copenhagen University 2004. She studied at Fatamorgana, the Danish School of Art Photography, in 2005, and attended a one-year traineeship at the Polish National Film School in Łódź (2009/10)."
